A Poetic Journey Through A Lover’s Heart

Intoxicated
-By Christine Murrain
Here, with you
So sublime
I Forget the rules
And get lost in time
You’re acceptance
And your love is wine
Drunken me,
Forgets to rhyme

We birth a new dimension
One in which we may continue reaching
And as a result remain clasped
Exploring the depths of love forever
In a universe where “goodbye” is nonexistent
And the far-reaching world loses intimidation
Because there’s safety in being together

And safe within
I rhyme again
You embody cozy
As a peaceful den
No need to mandate
It’s not corrupt
I Submit to love
I’ve given up
